"Großstadtrevier": One is leaving, one is coming - and there's trouble ahead
Fans of the ARD early evening series "Großstadtrevier" will soon have to say goodbye to actress Wanda Perdelwitz (38): Her character in the series, Nina Sieveking, is leaving the Hamburg police station 14 and will be replaced by a colleague from Dithmarschen, played by Sinha Melina Gierke (32).
Since 20 April 2022, the last four episodes of the 35th season of the ARD series "Großstadtrevier" have been filmed in Hamburg. Right at the beginning, the filming took the team to the Jan Fedder Promenade at the harbour, named after the deceased colleague, which was inaugurated in January.
"Großstadtrevier": Wanda Perdelwitz leaves ARD series
On Tuesday, "Das Erste" announced that Nina Sieveking, played by Wanda Perdelwitz, is leaving the series - leaving behind two broken hearts of Lukas Petersen (Patrick Abozen) and Daniel Schirmer (Sven Fricke) at once. The season is expected to be broadcast in late summer.

But filming continues: twelve new episodes are being filmed for the 36th season. Bente Hinrichs from Dithmarschen comes into play as a new character. She will complete the team from the Hamburg neighbourhood again from episode 483 - primarily as Lukas Petersen's new partner. She will be played by 32-year-old Sinha Melina Gierke, known from the Netflix series "Barbarians".

The series character Bente Hinrichs doesn't have an easy start: Chief Küppers, played by Saskia Fischer, would have preferred a different applicant and her colleagues also think the policewoman from Dithmarschen is a country bumpkin at first.

Actress Sinha Melina Gierke has it easier. According to a press release, she said: "I'm really looking forward to working for 'Großstadtrevier' and getting to know everyone from the cast and crew. I've already been able to meet some of them at the casting and was received so warmly that I felt right at home." She also likes her new place of work: "I love Hamburg and am completely infatuated with the Hamburg dialect. It just always sounds likeable, it makes my heart beat faster." (mp/dpa)
